Question #1:

Question about selling Hasbro Fan-Made Items (Copyright Question)?

I am an avid fan of the My Little Pony and I have a talent with making plushy toys. I would like to auction some of my works on Ebay but am concerned about possible legal ramifications with Hasbro.

Should I be concerned about auctioning a few of my works on Ebay? Is there a maximum quantity I can auction before Hasbro has the rights to stop me? What would be the worst possible scenario of me auctioning a few of my fan-made creations? Can I auction them off under the fact that these plushes are simply fan-made items and have no connection to Hasbro?

Thanks.

Question #2:

Co-worker is psycho - how do I deal with her?

Hopefully that heading got your attention :)

Now, this is a lead on from my last question. Basically I have a colleague who is 45, we share two work spaces and alternate jobs. She is filthy (prawn tails, dirty socks, empty food and bottle containers littering my desk - at last count, 6 pairs of socks, a pair of dirty worn slippers on my desk top, 4 empty pepsi max bottles on my desk, slime on my desk from where she cuts deli meat and assorted food items and never wipes up).

She also cannot handle her role, basic requests like asking her if she can locate a file - leads her to rant and rave about how everyone is incompetent, idiots, don't know what they're doing. The issue is, is that is her job - part of her role description, and no one is mistreating her. These are just routine requests made in a polite manner.

She is unsupervised, so I have raised these issues with my manager - who is located 600m away in another building. HR has told me they cannot intervene until management try handle it.

In the meantime, I am very unhappy working with her. She walks up behind me and rants about things, she makes no sense. I ignore her, but she just gets louder.

Because I gather she has mental health issues, I am reluctant to tell her things, even as simple as 'i am trying to work, not now' or 'i am not interested in listening to anything negative, if you have a problem - speak to our manager'. But HR have told me that I need to stop tip toeing around her, if management are not addressing it, I need to just be blunt with her.

So... my question is this:

What are some polite ways I can tell her to stop talking when:
- She starts ranting or saying anything negative
- She starts interrupting my work to talk about things that are not work related

What are some polite ways to get my point across when:
- She runs into the office and yells out 'who has missed me'! (usually I just ignore her)
- She runs around with a plush toy making animal sounds and pushing it in my face
- She stands behind me cutting meat on my desk top (she is meant to be using the other office, if i am in one - she is working in the other)
- The place is a filthy pigsty. I have said things like 'wow, this is getting really unclean, we really need to clean up'.

This might seem straightforward to you guys, but I am a very direct communicator, or I try to hint. I am not so good at the in between. Some phrases that I can use, that you have used would be great. She might be medicated or suffering from a mental illness, but this doesn't mean that I want to embarrass her or hurt her feelings.

I will just note that I have been in a new office for 2 weeks, and I am returning to that office where she works and it's just her and me. So I am thinking it's a good opportunity to tell her that I no longer want to listen to her negativity, being interrupted constantly and having weird behaviour. But obviously, to come out with all that could really affect her - so i want something polite by clear, and can be used when she is actually doing it. I think she is not in control of herself, so perhaps in the act, it's easier to just respond consistently to her in a way that makes her aware that it's not welcome.

Thanks!

Question #3:

I am looking for a dog toy that will withstand my puppies aggressive chewing?

I have an 8 month old Golden Retriever and she tears up any toy we give her in a matter of a day, if we are lucky! Most toys only last an hour max. We have tried expensive non-plush toys, to tire toys, to kongs.. She does well with the kong but has already gone through two.

Of course, we give her bones to chew.. Bully sticks, raw bones, stuff that keeps her busy but she gets bored of bones easily. She loves her toys but we have spent so much money trying to find something that will withstand her chewing and have almost given up!

We give her an adequate amount of exercise, training, and socializing so it's not that she is bored and tears every toy up, she just LOVES her toys. We are lucky because she has not chewed any of our personal items because she prefers her toys.

I know I am not the only one who has this problem, so is there anyone out there that has found any toys that have worked for their aggressive chewer? I mean something that is going to last her a week or longer, not an hour..

Thank you!
Orange County - I am looking for a toy, not a bone.. She gets pigs hooves but I don't necessarily like them because they are cooked and can splinter in her stomach which can be a costly trip to the veterinarian.. I want dog toys!!
I have tried a rope toy - but she ingests some of the rope and I am afraid it will get wrapped around her intestines.. Rope toys do last - but she would rather play tug of war than chew it..
Neen - what is your problem? I 100% understand that this is normal dog behavior.. I NEVER said I disagreed with her behavior I was trying to find something she would enjoy more and get more use out of. Please - take your negativity elsewhere. I was asking for help not rudeness..

Question #6:

I am so poor and I am so scared to be what I want to be?

I came from a very poor family, my father is divorced from my mother and the custody of me and my siblings goes to my Dad.
Including housing debts.
The cost of living in my country is among the top 10th list and the education system in my country sucks. I wish to be in the IT industry, and I wish to go overseas to study but I so scared of debts.
I am struggling with my studies now, and I so scared I will not pass my national exam and this year is my streaming year.
I want to be rich too, but it can get stressful.
I never had a birthday party with my friends, I have nothing much but studying, studying, going on the internet, staying at home and that's my childhood.
I only had a plush toy for childhood, I lost my university savings thanks to my mother. (for alimony)
Why?! Should I even go overseas to study since university cost are rising and income are lowering?

Question #8:

I want to make a custom plush toy, but where do I start?

I am going to be moving two and a half hours away from home to go to school. This also means two and a half hours away from my boyfriend. I would like to either create a custom plush doll to have made or perhaps make one myself that looks like him.
I'm quite handy with a sewing machine however I'm not sure what materials to use for things such as hair. I want it to be something soft that can be slept with. The other dilemma is the lack of some type of pattern.
Any helpful hints?

Question #11:

Poll: Angry Birds is overrated?

Its one of the most overrated games ever, I tried it before and was not impressed. Its decent for a simple quick game, but some people act like its the greatest thing ever. But what annoys me more is the over-advertising of the game. Some websites I visit are full of ads promoting the game. On TV, most cell phone commercials feature Angry Birds, either obviously or kind of hidden. Most stores I walk into have Angry Birds merchandise of all types: t-shirts, plush toys, lunch boxes, and even candy. I think the game has gone too far. Its more of a trend than a game really, it seems like some people think they are "cool" by playing it.
Ah yes, Temple Run. That game is gaining popularity, I just hope it doesn't get bloated up like Angry Birds. Its actually kind of fun, but it'll probably go bad if it gets too popular.

Question #20:

Did you ever buy a small dog a big toy?

i did! i got my 14lb 4yr old a big plush soccer ball its about as tall as she! i have to admit i got it cuz i thought it would be fun to watch her play with it. she doesn't play with it to much because i think she finds it to hard to carry.no i don't force her to play with it and i got her a soft one so she wouldn't hurt herself trying to play with it. i was just wondering if anyone else thought it was kinda funny to give a smaller dog a toy that was a little bigger then them!
